L’équipe s’est installée au village de Ban Nat au nord du polje. La plongée du gros siphon de Tham Kagnung est terminée sur un dangereux chaos de troncs immergés, tandis qu’une nouvelle galerie a été découverte à l’issue d’une escalade engagée à mi-chemin du fond. Arrêt sur de très vastes conduits… à suivre ! L’exploration de T. Simali, magnifique grotte avec des galeries de plus de 50 m est terminée, mais trois autres grottes restent à voir sur ce secteur de la montagne. Une nouvelle galerie a aussi été explorée dans Houay Saï perte où nous devons faire une belle escalade et plonger le siphon terminal … Une autre première est en cours à T. Dat Cha, et plus de 5 nouvelles cavités ont été découvertes …Il y a tant à faire !

First moments in the Ban Vieng polje
The team has settled donw in the polje at Ban Nat village. The dive of the Tham Kagnung sump is already finished on a dangerous collapse of trunks, while a new passage has been found after an engaged climb half-way to the cave end, giving access to huge galleries, still running… The T. Simali exploration has been terminated in 50 m wide galeries decorated by a forest of stalagtites and stalagmites – a very nice place. Three caves are still to be seen in the vicinity of Simali. A new passage has been surveyed in Houay Saï sink, a cave where we will also dive the terminal sump and climb a steep passage at the far end of the cave… Another exploration is running in Dat Cha cave and over 5 new caves have been found. So many things to do !
